I am in my late 50’s and worked as an LPC in Missouri for nearly 13 years working with children/adolescents, transitional youth and families. Therapy and coaching are not dissimilar. I recently moved to SoCal and have found the criteria for licensure is rigid and not reciprocal. Someone suggested life coaching as an option. However, I am at the point where I will likely have to draw on my retirement to sustain me. Are there grants for life coaching and is it going to be a sustainable income?

      Hi Tamara

I am not aware of grants for life coaching.

Like any real business, you will have to put in some work in terms of marketing. Once you have that going, yes it is a very sustainable business.

      🙂
