How I’ve Stayed Successful in 2014 and You Can Too for 2015
There are 4 lessons I’ve (Coach Ayisha) learned that allowed me to be successful in my coaching business this year and I will take these lessons with me in 2015. You can benefit from these lessons too.
Lesson 1 – It’s Imperative to Start a Business you are Passionate About
All businesses have its up and it have its downs. This year I’ve had my share of it. I’ve had really slow periods and I’ve had skyrocketing, high income periods.
I went through some personal issues in my life that I’ve allowed to disable me from working. Thankfully I have a great business team to ensure that my business stayed afloat and I thank God for my accountability partner and coach who made sure I didn’t stay down for long.
I’ve learned that I was only able to survive this year #1 because of God’s mercy and #2 I’m working in passion. If I wasn’t passionate about my work, I probably would have given up this year.
Lesson 2 – Tell Your Story and Connect with your Audience
I’ve learned that branding is everything, so in 2015 my team and myself will concentrate on branding Universal Coach Institute.
I am a big advocate of relationship marketing, listening and engaging my audience. I do most of it through emails which has been a great success and I will continue, however I must branch out more into social media.
I’ve learned even though I have a connection with you and other people from my audience, I must dig a little deeper inside me and show you how we may be alike in some ways and how you can succeed in your business, as I have as a life coach and business coach. It’s all about storytelling which is a part of branding.

Lesson 3 – Give Freely in Order to Get
Much of my success this year came from me giving. If I needed love, I gave love and received it back. If I needed money, I gave money and received it back double. If I needed ideas, I gave out some of my ideas and in return was able to drum up 10xs more. Gave free information, free classes, free materials and in return I’ve signed up good paying clients and students. Don’t be afraid to give. If you are a proficient coach, you can give things away for free and still have more quality products and services to give, that people will pay for. I briefly discuss how to do this in my free 30 Day Business Building email course and I teach this in the Master Coaching BusinessTM program.
Lesson 4 – Network and Take Time to Put Together a Great Team
As I said earlier, if it wasn’t for my supportive team, I probably would have been still trying to pull my business back together this year. Work with people who support you. Work, network, and befriend people who share the same goals, mission, and vision as you. Hang around successful people and learn from them. Get a coach or accountability partner so you’ll can help keep each other on track.
These are the things that I’ve learned this year to help me succeed in my life and business. I will take these lessons with me in 2015. Stay tuned for my next post, “What worked for my business in 2014”.
